Mouat students shine at Skills Competitions

The Provincial Skills competition took place last week at Tradex in Abbotsford. Mouat had four students competing, and two of them won medals in their competitions.  Kathryn Madden competed in culinary. Brady Sahly competed in carpentry. Nick Viger competed in Architectural Drafting and won silver. And Dallas Stevenson competed in Electrical Wiring and won gold. All these students won medals at the Regional Fraser Valley competitions in order to compete at the Provincials.

Dallas will now move on and represent BC at the Canadian Skills competition in Winnipeg at the end of May.

Overall, it was a great display of the skill and knowledge these students have in hands-on, technical areas. They are all well on their way to a successful career in the skilled trades.
